Aluminum alloy die castings
from drawing to volume production
Dujiangyan Huachuan Die Casting has focused on high-pressure die casting for more than 20 years. From tool development and die casting to CNC machining, surface finishing, inspection and shipping, the whole flow runs inside our 8,000 m² plant, delivering traceable batch consistency to customers in the Sichuan-Chongqing region and across China.
Aluminum alloy die castings
- Material selected to drawing: ADC12, A380 and customer-specified grades, supplied as-cast or after heat treatment.
- Structure feasibility: thin walls, deep cavities and multi-rib designs go through a DFM review before tooling, reducing shrinkage porosity and distortion risk.
- Finishing in the same plant: deburring, CNC machining, sandblasting, polishing and coating follow one another inside one plant, reducing the lead-time swings that come from outside processing.

New energy vehicle die castings
- Lightweighting: aluminum alloy replaces conventional structural parts, balancing weight reduction with structural load bearing.
- Heat conduction and sealing: motor and controller housings require good heat dissipation and flatness, so mold flow and post-machining plans are validated at the prototyping stage.
- Development pace: local production in Chengdu keeps tooling, die casting and CNC in the same plant, shortening the path from development to volume production.

Appliance die castings
- Mainly structural parts: motor end covers, brackets, bases and other aluminum alloy die cast structural parts, with stable volume production as the priority.
- Surface quality: flow marks and color variation are controlled on cosmetic parts; coating and screen printing can be handled in the plant.
- Cost control: tooling and piece cost are evaluated against annual volume and structural complexity, with small-batch validation supported.

Capabilities and delivery flow
A die casting is not a single operation: tool making, die casting, machining, surface finishing and inspection follow one another inside one plant, reducing the lead-time and quality variation that comes from sending work out.
Drawings and DFM
Share 2D/3D drawings and annual volume; we evaluate the structure, material, tooling plan and cost.
Tool making and trial run
Tool design and machining, followed by trial runs; the tool is finalized once appearance, dimensions and process parameters are confirmed.
Volume die casting
Production is scheduled to the finalized process, with batch samples retained and in-process inspection recorded alongside.
Finishing and shipping
CNC machining, surface finishing, final inspection and packing, delivered as agreed.
Three questions we hear before every order
From MOQ and tooling lead time to quality and delivery, the questions buyers ask most are answered here one by one.
What is the typical MOQ for custom die castings?
It depends on the structure, tooling cost and process; volume production, small-batch customization and new part prototyping are all available.
02 / Tooling lead timeHow long does die tooling development take?
It depends on structural complexity and tool size, ranging from several weeks to several months, trial runs and adjustments included.
03 / Small batchCan you handle small-batch die casting orders?
Yes. Small-batch die casting suits product validation, trial production and small-volume supply, lowering initial investment and trial-and-error cost.
Send us your drawings for a practical first assessment
We look at structure, material, tooling and volume together, then come back with a tooling plan, prototyping schedule and price range. Our plant is in Chengdu, and you are welcome to visit and check certificates and production lines.
